HOW TO WATCH BLEACH : THOUSAND YEAR BLOOD WAR

Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War (Sennen Kessen-hen) is the action-packed conclusion of Tite Kubo’s seminal manga series, which has spanned two decades and spawned numerous spin-offs.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Bleach Thousand Year Blood War anime, including its release date, a recap of the storyline before TYBW, characters and their voice actors, and some Bleach fix recommendations during the agonizing wait.

What is Bleach?

Bleach is a supernatural fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Tite Kubo. Pierrot, the animation studio responsible for the first 14 seasons of Bleach, will also be in charge of the TYBW adaptation.

The story follows Ichigo Kurosaki, a 15-year-old boy that can see ghosts. When shinigami Rukia Kuchiki gives him her powers in a desperate life-and-death situation against a Hollow—monsters with a taste for human souls—Ichigo becomes embroiled in the Soul Society’s affairs, an afterlife modeled after feudal Japan.

Spoiler alert for Bleach’s Soul Society arc

Rukia is eventually captured for the crime of giving her powers to a human. Ichigo and his friends—Orihime Inoue, Yasutora “Chad” Sado, and Uryu Ishida—embark on a journey to Soul Society to rescue her and beat up any disagreeing shinigami in their way.

Ichigo’s invasion was revealed to merely be a part of the plot of the charismatic shinigami captain, Sosuke Aizen. He retreats to the realm of the Hollows, Hueco Mundo, for the next steps of his plan, which somehow involves the capture of Orihime. Ichigo is once again called to stop the dangerous Aizen once and for all.

TYBW will stream on Hulu in the U.S., and on Disney+ internationally, according to Viz Media’s announcement.

The first run of the anime lasted 14 seasons, with the final episode airing on March 27, 2012, marking 10 years since the anime first graced TV screens.

How To Watch BLEACH On Disney+  From Anywhere

Disney+ is constantly updating its VPN-blocking technology, so it’s really difficult to find a VPN that can reliably bypass its geoblocks. If you intend to travel abroad and still want access to your Disney+ Star channel, for example, you’ll need a solid VPN to access it while you’re away.

I tested 30+ VPN and shortlisted the best ones for Disney+. All of these VPNs can reliably access Disney+ and have fast speeds for streaming in HD (and Ultra HD).

My top recommendation is ExpressVPN. It has an extensive server network that can access multiple regional Disney+ libraries. Plus, its ultra-fast speeds are more than enough to stream in Ultra HD. You can try ExpressVPN  as it’s backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee, too. If you find it’s not for you, it’s easy to claim a refund.

ExpressVPN – Superfast speed to stream Diney+ from anywhere

  • Lightning-fast speeds
  • 3,000 servers in 94 countries
  • 5 simultaneous device connections
  • Works with: Disney+, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, BBC iPlayer, HBO Max, Hulu, and more

ExpressVPN’s speeds are more than fast enough for Ultra HD streaming. I tested 3 of its US server on a 100 Mbps connection and got an average of 75 Mbps across all of them. It is practically 3 times more than what you need for UHD, which requires 25 Mbps. This means that you’ll have no problem watching all your favorite Disney+ shows in the highest quality.

It has 3,000 servers to access content worldwide easily. I connected to its New York, Washington, and Chicago servers, all of which gave me access to Disney+. Even though I’m almost 8,000 km away from the US, the connection remained stable, and I didn’t experience any disconnections. Similarly, I could access my EU Disney+ account in the Netherlands using its Amsterdam server. This means there will always be a server nearby to watch your Disney+ shows when abroad.

One minor disadvantage with ExpressVPN is its slightly higher prices — its cheapest plan costs $6.67/month. However, ExpressVPN does offer generous discounts. When I signed up, I got the annual plan for 49% off plus 3 months of free service. The best deal is to get the 12-month plan since it’s considerably cheaper than the short-term options and offers the same features.

How to Watch BLEACH On Disney+ From Anywhere in 3 Easy Steps

  1. Get a VPN. I recommend ExpressVPN because it unblocks Disney+ with ease and has speeds fast enough to watch movies in Ultra HD (plus, you can try ExpressVPN with special offer).
  2. Connect to a server where Disney+ is available. If you want access to Disney+ Star, then connect to a European server. If you want to watch US Disney+, connect to a US server.
  3. Start watching BLEACH On Disney+! Sign up and enjoy streaming your favorite Disney+ content!

FAQs about VPNs for Disney+

What if my VPN stops working with Disney+?

There are a couple of things you can do if your VPN doesn’t work with Disney+. First and foremost, make sure you’re using a VPN that’s been tried-and-tested to reliably access Disney+. Here are some other troubleshooting tips that can help you unblock it:

  1. Try another server. You can disconnect from the server and pick a different one. This will change your IP address, which can help you access Disney+.
  2. Change security protocol. Try using another security protocol, like IKEv2, OpenVPN, or WireGuard. You can change these in your VPN app’s settings menu.
  3. Connect your VPN before loading Disney+. This should help prevent any issues with the platform loading.
  4. Clear your browser cookies and cache. This ensures there’s no trace that you’ve signed in to Disney+ from a different location, which means Disney+ won’t be able to notice the change.
  5. Use Incognito mode. In combination with the above 2 steps, using Incognito mode on your browser can also help.
  6. Make sure you’ve updated the VPN app. If errors persist, you can always get in touch with your VPN provider’s customer support. Usually they will have a list of the best servers to use with Disney+ on hand and will recommend them.

Does Disney+ block VPNs?

Yes, Disney+ blocks some VPNs due to the different regional licensing agreements involved with each show/movie production. So, to protect these agreements, the platform constantly tries to find ways to block VPN IP addresses so that you can’t get around its geo-blocks. So, if you ever encounter the dreaded “Error Code: 83” or a message that says, “Sorry, Disney+ is not available in your region”, these VPNs should put a stop to it. They regularly monitor their IPs and remove any that have been blocked to make sure that you can reliably access the platform every time you need to.

Is it illegal to use a VPN to watch Disney+?

No, it’s not illegal to use a VPN to watch Disney+ in most countries. However, in some places with a lot of censorship (such as China, UAE, and Russia), VPNs are either highly regulated or banned, which could make using a VPN illegal altogether. So, make sure to check and adhere to your country’s laws before deciding to use a VPN to watch Disney+.

In Disney+’s User Agreement, it is implied that you agree not to “circumvent or disable any content protection system … to control access to the Disney+ content”, but it doesn’t specifically say that you’re not allowed to use a proxy or a VPN. Disney+ fights VPN-use by blocking the technology, we haven’t found a case where a user’s been punished or blocked for using a VPN. So, if you need one to access your Disney+ account, make sure you use a VPN that’s been proven to work with Disney+.

Can I use a free VPN to watch Disney+?

You could try, but most of them don’t work. Plenty of free VPNs are easily blocked by Disney+, so they usually can’t even access the platform at all. Even if you find one that unblocks Disney+, you’ll usually only get 1 or 2 GB of data/month, which isn’t even enough to watch a full movie in HD. To top that off, you’ll probably face extreme buffering and lag since free VPN servers are often overcrowded, which contributes to slow speeds and lad picture quality.I recommended to use premium VPN, you can try premium VPN with special offer. All of them come with money-back guarantees, too, which means you can use them for 30+ days, and get a full refund within that testing period.
